I am a postdoctoral researcher interested in the ethics and impact of science and technology. I am currently working on a qualitative project examining the societal implications of AI over the coming decades examining the views of scientists, thought leaders and industry about the future implications of AI for humanity. An interdisciplinary researcher, I have a background and interests in moral philosophy, STS, ethics and science / research policy.

To date, my postdoctoral research interests concern the politics and philosophy of research and emerging science, specifically with respect to epistemic responsibility, policy development, impact and ethics.
My PhD titled ‘Instrumentalism and epistemic responsibility: researchers and the impact agenda in the UK and Australia’, explored the political and philosophical implications of impact as an emerging phenomenon.
I have published academic work in internationally peer-reviewed journals, co-written policy documents the governance of emerging technologies and has presented her work nationally and internationally including a keynote in Perth, Australia. I recently conducted research into academic attitudes towards the Research Excellence Framework and continue with a keen interest in academic cultures, ethics and academic integrity.
Outside of work, I play bass in a band called This House is Haunted which keeps me busy and creative. I also play the cello.
